Overview: The Business Engagement Director, provides business advisory services, solution definitions, and technical leadership as required to ensure the right solution is designed and implemented to best meet the business demand. To be successful in this role strong communication, business relationships, and organizational skills will be required along with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment. Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities:- Hires and trains IT staff.- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team.- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Relevant industry or business function subject matter expertise (e.g. finance, operations, commercial) demonstrating both business and technical acumen to effectively bridge the two
- Knowledge of project management disciplines, methodologies, best practices, and tools
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, software development, networking infrastructure, data, and/or security
- Self-starter with results-oriented, proactive management approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment and collaborate effectively as a team member Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science required; masters degree or MBA preferred. At least ten years of experience managing an IT department.
