Compensation

Salary Range (Grade D): $88,539 - $131,381

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the development and administration of
contracts in support of the Department of Subways Operations, including all facilities;
planning, coordinating procurements, overseeing vendors and contract administers to manage
vendor progress, approving payment processing, conducting quality audits of outside
contracts and remedying unsafe conditions. In addition, the incumbent will work with
operations areas to help ensure energy conservation resources are used in Transit properties.
Emergency field coverage and flexibility in work hours are required. Must be prepared to
respond to emergencies and other critical occurrences, 24 hours a day/7 days per week.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and seven (7)
years of full-time related experience, of which five (5) years must have been in
managerial/supervisory capacity or satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.

Desired Skills

Strong Knowledge of Department of Subways Operations.
Knowledge of New York City TWU and Transit labor practices and policies.
Understanding of building management systems and the ability to manage a multitude
of complex projects.
Knowledge of New York City Transit procedures is desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Office, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Selection Method

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA
payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
