Job Description


Harland Clarke, a Vericast company, offers a year-round TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED, BRIGHT, CLEAN manufacturing printing team-based environment.

Pay: $17 plus $1.75 shift differential

Hours: Sunday - Thursday 10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Occasional overtime is required

Position Summary

Light manufacturing production position requiring good organizational, communication, and time management skills. Must have a strong work ethic while being production and quality conscious. Will be cross trained to work on two or more skills/tasks.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the coordination of print jobs for the digital printing process. Digimaster operators on the Laser Process will box their worn work.
  • Prioritizes job tickets for stock collation.
  • Ensures that each printer does not run out of work, through maintenance of the Job Release Check List.
  • Responsible for all system reports (efficiency, down time log, shift run schedule).
  • Perform quality inspection of completed work.
  • Performs minor maintenance functions as follows: adjust bar-code reader; replace MICR toner bottle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to assess obstacles and make minor non-mechanical adjustments to ensure safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Ability to speak, read, and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Standing for up to 10 hours a day. Regular kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending and twisting may be required. Position requires lifting up to 35 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on occasion. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
