DayHub Director

Job Summary

The DayHub Director will oversee shelter operations and support programs at the Bridges of Hope DayHub Program, oversight of DayHub managers, volunteer management including volunteer training orientation and serve as a primary contact for the community.

Responsibilities and Duties

The DayHub Director will: 40 hours per week.

• Work between 30-35 hours
• Supervise shelter guests, volunteers and managers. DayHub hours are 8:00am - 12:00 pm seven days a week. He or she may also be asked to be available by phone during those hours that are covered by other staff.
• Manage weekly staff schedule and submit payroll hours
• Oversee hiring DayHub managers or other positions as needed
• Serve as a liaison to the police and fire departments, city, county, churches, and other organizations, attending meetings when necessary
• Work to develop partnerships with local agencies, organizations, ministries and departments to provide education for individuals in a variety of needs
• Develop and maintain oversight of programs and educational classes
• Work with Kitchen Coordinator to maintain lunch, and supplies needed.
• Maintain a Policies and Procedures manual, including emergency plans, and update as needed
• Coordinate with BOH administrator on marketing and social media presence
• Organize and manage the training orientation of volunteers
• Maintain a daily log of guests, volunteers, observations, and incident reports
• Provide a written report to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors as needed
• Facilitate staff meeting
• Coordinate with Shelter Director for status of guests’ requirements or issues

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should:

• Have strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Be knowledgeable of food service operations
• Good organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication
• Have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
• Have good computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office products, Google drive, social media, and other tools
• Have a strong faith background
• Have a valid Ohio driver's license and a good driving record
• Be insurable
• Be free of addictions to drug and alcohol at least two years
• Be able to provide three references

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
