- set our data free, make it useable by everyone in the organization and support collaboration
- perform data modeling on petabytes of data and build-up holistic understanding
- continuously enhance our data platform with new sources and analytical capabilities
- technically manage the product portfolio
- provide data governance and support
- teach and learn from everyone in the organization
- you love to develop software every day and it goes without saying to check-in, review, test and deploy your code daily
- you are fascinated by large amounts of data and have proven hands-on skills and implementation experience with AWS services
- you have years of proven coding experience and actively apply practices like DRY, S.O.L.I.D and clean code
- you have used Snowflake in production - this includes to know and love SQL
- you are comfortable in 1+ programming languages - Python ideally being one of them
- you are experienced in building APIs and REST services, as well as setting-up data pipelines with Airflow
- you speak fluent English. German would be a plus (no actual requirement, but willingness to learn)
- working in agile teams and projects is second nature to you
- regular exchange and networking with subsidiaries of the Axel Springer Group (eg. Awin, idealo, Bonial, Stepstone, Immowelt and many more)
- work environment with flexible working hours & working 50% from home
- 2 weeks of workation per year
