Spectrum Healthcare Resources has excellent opportunities for Critical Care/Acute Care RNs at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville is currently filling positions for Critical Care/Acute Care nurses. UTMC is a Level 1 trauma center, and draws the most seriously ill and injured patients from surrounding hospitals and regions. This very fast-paced and demanding facility requires the highest levels of professionalism and knowledge from our employees.
We are seeking highly skilled nurses who have experience dealing with critical and intensive care patients. You will be working directly with patients who may require 24/7 care.
Duties for Critical Care/ Acute Care RNs include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assesses patient’s status in a comprehensive manner.
- Demonstrates accurate assessment skills, appropriate to the age of the patient, based on scientific facts and principles
- Performs initial assessment and completes required documentation within organizational standards
- Performs and documents ongoing assessments including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention
- Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Assists other staff in the delivery of patient care, as appropriate
- Incorporates patient teaching/discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee or multi-state compact license
- 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training
