PCS is a community mental health agency providing outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse services to children and adults with locations in Covington, Ripley, Somerville, Millington, Brownsville, and Dyersburg.

PCS is recruiting for a Care Coordinator for the Tipton County Area to work with children and adults impacted by the tornado in accordance with the Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training Program guidelines. The Care Coordinator would work Monday through Friday and be available for events on some nights and weekends if necessary.

Our goal for this role is to:

· Reach people affected by the tornado through face-to-face outreach to shelters, homes, and other locations. We want to meet the people in the community where they are to better serve their needs.

· We will assess the emotional needs of survivors and make referrals to traditional behavioral health services when necessary.

· Identify tangible needs and link survivors to community resources and disaster relief services.

· Provide emotional support, education, basic crisis counseling, and family and community support systems.

· Work with local stakeholders to promote community resilience and recovery.

· Collect and evaluate data to ensure quality services and justify program efforts.

· Leave behind a permanent legacy of improved coping skills, educational and resource materials, and enhanced community linkages.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with behavioral health/human services experience preferred. Human Service degrees include, but are not limited to, degrees in criminal justice, family & consumer science, education, etc.
