Client is seeking an experienced Controls Specialist to join our Building Automation Group. Specialists are responsible for
the successful installation of building automation systems. They represent our organization to our customers, other
contractors, fellow employees, and our community in a professional manner. They are effective leaders and communicators,
who resolve disputes and negotiate mutually beneficial solutions, and exhibit ownership for their projects.
Essential Functions
Perform checkout, start-up and testing of BMS DDC controllers serving a wide variety of mechanical systems in
Data Centers and other critical environments.
Write, test, and commission BMS control programs to match complex Sequences of Operation
Start up and configure graphical user interfaces, including BMS servers, control panel touchscreen displays.
Communicate with and provide daily updates and status reports to both the Project Lead and Project Manager
Coordinate with and communicate directly to the customer and other contractors in a professional manner.
Document project status and participate in the creation and accuracy of close-out documents.
Write and follow detailed Method of Procedure (MOP), Change Management (CM) forms and process.
Perform BMS commissioning, including Pre-functional, Functional, and Integrated Systems Testing processes, both
individually, and with 3 rd -Party/Customer commissioning agents.
Perform periodic Maintenance and Service of existing BMS systems in an active Data Center environment
Support multiple concurrent projects in the Eastern Oregon and Washington areas.
Work to be performed in a high-security environment, following customer security policies and procedures
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Education/Experience/Qualifications
Four year degree (ME / EE preferred) or Two year degree / apprenticeship plus equivalent work experience
or (5+ years) automation / controls field experience required.
Five+ years experience in programming, startup, and testing of BMS and/or PLC systems desired
Tridium Niagara AX / N4 Certification and Distech ECLYPSE experience strongly preferred, Siemens or
Schneider experience a plus.
Experience with BACnet and/or Modbus protocols and 3 rd -Party Systems Integration is preferred.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
A strong understanding of computer operating systems and computer networking is required.
Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel required. MS project, or other PM software a plus
Experience with AutoDesk AutoCAD and/or MS Visio and/or Bluebeam Revu preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
Successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary
Local travel required to Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington areas, with occasional overnight travel

Salary: $15.85 - $39.20 per hour
