Job Summary:
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to analyze, maintain, and improve organizational performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying business strategy by collecting and presenting key performance indicators, as well as leading or coaching corporate and plant level initiatives. They will also establish training programs to support Lufkin's Continuous Improvement and sustainable process management systems. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while identifying and developing internal talent.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Sustain and improve safety, environmental, and quality policies, processes, and procedures.
- Communicate and exemplify the company’s continuous improvement system philosophy, vision, and expectations to build a culture of continuous improvement across all functions throughout the plant.
- Act as a change agent to all departments and levels of leadership to challenge processes, propose ideas, and drive change.
- Design, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes to optimize productivity and workflow efficiency, while clearly communicating goals and control plans to manufacturing management and shop personnel.
- Execute and deliver CER (Capital Expenditure Request) projects/programs based on the annual operating plan.
- Coach individuals and teams in applying effective problem-solving using the appropriate six sigma problem-solving tools such as 4C, A3, DMAIC, etc.
- Develop employee training and development on lean manufacturing concepts and culture throughout the facility.
Previous Experience and Competencies:
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills in challenging situations.
- Excellent at managing difficult team dynamics.
- Confidence in leading and communicating organizations through change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Minitab experience.
- Exposure to a lean environment or lean tools (VSM, 5S implementation, RCA, PFMEA/DFMEA, etc.).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process optimization, engineering, quality, or business management in a manufacturing environment.
- Project management experience with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects at once.
- High level of knowledge of gathering and analyzing data through ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- LSSGB or LSSBB certification preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
