Job description
The Community Outreach Assistant II (COAII) plans, develops, coordinates, and implements community-oriented programs focused on meeting community needs and improving life skills for targeted public segments. The COAII delivers content, programs, materials, and technology solutions, as needed, to support program objectives. The COAII will specifically provide education, and will promote and evaluate programs pertaining to financial literacy and parenting.

- Program Implementation:
- Prepare and present subject matter in one or more areas (financial literacy and parenting) to diverse audiences.
- Organize, promote, and coordinate programs throughout the county.
- Prepare presentations regarding program implementation and success stories.
- Answer inquiries and provide information related to forms, meetings, materials, and evaluations.
- Program Evaluation:
- Monitor, log and track, and record programming delivered throughout the county.
- Evaluate lesson delivery for effectiveness and knowledge gained pertaining to learning concepts; revise and re-delivery when necessary.
- Maintain files following the University of Arizona requirements and HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete Affirmative Action weekly reporting.
- Maintain an accurate and shared calendar of activities and events.
- Assist in the development and record evaluations of lessons delivered.
- Submit required reports to the FCHS Assistant Area Agent.
- Community Relations and Outreach:
- Establish and foster contact with appropriate community resources.
- Seek opportunities to make connections and develop collaborative working relationships with partners and services throughout the county.
- Assist in edits and layout for promotional and informational materials including brochures, flyers, and other materials.
- Engage with local media and submit educational articles to encourage financial literacy and parenting.
- Work with and assist staff and/or volunteers as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
