Role Summary

The ProVeg Incubator is the world’s first and among the leading incubator and accelerator programmes for plant-based, fermentation and cultivated food startups. Our team supports pioneering entrepreneurs to build and grow impactful food and food-tech companies, launch products and services and secure investment. As part of the International food awareness organisation ProVeg International, our mission is to reduce global animal consumption by 50% by the year 2040.

We are currently looking for a communicator, organiser and team player to take on the role of a Community and Office Manager. In this role, you are in charge of the co-working and event space at ProVeg’s headquarters in Berlin. You are making sure the ProVeg Incubator team’s processes and tools are running smoothly and get an overhaul whenever needed. Furthermore, you are our contact person for internal and external inquiries among the community. The part-time or full-time role and its tasks are extremely varied and can extend beyond the key tasks below, in order to support the development of our ambitious endeavour.
Job Details
  • Role: Permanent, Full-time

  • Hours: 25-40 hours/week

  • Location: Berlin

  • Reports to: Head of ProVeg Incubator

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with start-ups and nourishing the community-building - from onboarding to alumni communication

  • Manage the alumni Slack channel, set up and manage Zoom sessions, calendars and other community instruments at the ProVeg Incubator

  • Become our effectiveness and digital champion (processes, tools, platforms etc.)

  • Handle administrative and operative tasks to ensure the smooth running and further development of the incubator coworking and event space

  • Collaborate closely with ProVeg’s Office management, Finance and Legal teams

  • Become the go-to person for inquiries about programme, applications, incubator space, collaborations and other topics

  • Manage rental and other contracts as well as invoicing at the space

Qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years experience in community and office management/project management, ideally at an incubator, accelerator, association or similar institution

  • Excellent organisational, planning, time management and prioritisation skills

  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility

  • Strong passion for food innovation and the startup ecosystem

  • Able to work efficiently and accurately when under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Fluent in English and German

  • Outgoing and confident, able to network effectively and represent the incubator and ProVeg with professionalism

  • Work proactively, thinking creatively to generate original and relevant ideas to continuously improve our community and space management
