We are looking for an experienced Property and Casualty Customer Service Representative. This is both a service and sales position which requires a Property and Casualty Insurance License as administered by the Texas Department of Insurance. The job will entail working with producers on renewals and new business prospects, communicating with insureds and insurance company personnel. Having computer skills will allow you to become proficient in maintaining customer files using our management system. Attention to detail will be important as you will be rating and invoicing policies, reconciling audits and assisting prospects/insureds with their insurance needs. Our insureds, producers and company personnel must at all times receive prompt, accurate , courteous service so a good attitude is important. You will be expected to continue to grow and develop your talents and insurance knowledge to the highest level possible.

Responsibilities

• Talking with new/existing customers
• Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Maintain contact lists

Skills

• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000 and higher depending on experience

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

License/Certification:

• TX Dept of Insurance Property and Casualty or if experienced with Property and Casualty a willingness to get licensed.
