Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

  • As a collections specialist, you will provide collection support to more complex or long outstanding accounts.
  • You will correct claims resulting in payments for assigned segment of Accounts Receivable.
  • You will perform collection duties in accordance with established federal and state regulations.
  • You will manage assigned claims in Medicaid, Hospice, and Medicare insurance collections.
  • You will contact claim representatives regarding outstanding balances and respond to patient medical record requests.
  • You will analyze coding to assure proper billing of claim and work with MDS to ensure accurate and timely filing.

Collections Specialist Qualifications:

  • A technical or associates degrees or commensurate experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or administration, preferred.
  • 3 years as a skilled nursing facility biller.
  • Experience with multi-site representation responsibilities.
  • Experience with Point Click Care (PCC), preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, Revenue and ICD9/10 codes.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
