Position

As a CNC Programmer / Tooling Technician you will design fixturing and molds for composites manufacturing in addition to supporting our machining center.

Responsibilities include:

• Fixture, mold, and shop aid design and review – all departments.
• Program and operate CNC 3 axis to 5 axis Machining centers.
• CAD, CAM, and CNC/waterjet operation including tooling design, tooling fabrication, tooling modification.
• Collaborate with and support design and manufacturing engineers concerning all tooling.
• Use manual machining equipment to modify and repair tooling.
• Read and create CNC Code Programs.
• Manage projects with outside vendors.
• Ensure that all models and drawings for tooling is up to date.
• Be able to understand and follow the Engineering Change process. Maintain levels of drawing tractability relating to fixtures, tools and shop aid program changes.
• Provide accurate time estimates to production management on tool maintenance functions.
• Utilize the appropriate software to create a tool usage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two year technical degree or 5 years’ of experience preferred.
• Exposure to multiple marching processes a plus.
• Must be able to program 5-axis CNC machines.
• Exposure to industrial manufacturing a plus.
• Familiarity with different molding processes beneficial
