HJF is seeking Clinical Research Assistant III to support research conducted at CNRM under the Uniformed Services University, on the Investigating training associated blast pathology (INVICTA) study. The Clinical Research Assistant III will be responsible for the evaluation volunteer study participants. They will be primarily be responsible for the administration of study assessments and questionnaires to research study participants (neurocognitive, neurophysologic, neurosomatosenory, and neuromotor study assessments), but will also be involved with tasks such as recruitment and enrollment of participants, data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities:
- Recruits and screens subjects for research studies. Collects baseline and follow up data from subjects. Checks for validity and accuracy of data ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements and clinical relevance.
- Establishes and maintains database files and uploads into the established electronic data capture platform. May perform data analysis and interpretation.
- Performs scientific literature searches, identification and retrieval.
- Performs administrative duties that will assist in the development and submitting grants, papers and abstracts, manuscripts and presenting studies or production of study protocol manuals and data collection instruments
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
- Ability to understand and utilize scientific/medical terminology and research theory in both oral and written communications.
- Ability to use measurable and verifiable information for making decisions or judgments.
- Skill in statistical interpretation and data analysis using statistical software and/or spreadsheets and database software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Requires ability to be on one’s feet, as well as to bend or kneel, to place and remove sensors or leads.
- May require the ability to work with both individuals and groups of patients and will require 30% of travel to field location for the conduct of study assessments.
- This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
- Bachelor's Degree Social Science (i.e., Sociology, Psychology) or related fields
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years experience required
