NJAC-Camden County Domestic Violence Center is seeking a skilled clinician, supervisor and administrator with extensive domestic violence, trauma, youth and family therapy experience to act as our Clinical Director at the Camden County Domestic Violence Center. The Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical leadership and policy direction for all supportive direct service programs; maintain accepted standards of programming; and provide administrative and professional supervision of all staff leadership staff. Additionally, the Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring oversight in the areas of: licensing regulations, legal and ethical regulations, clinical supervision, and quality assurance. The Clinical Director will co- manage and provide consultation to the CC-PALS program working directly with Creative Arts Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Director will be responsible for agency representation, contract monitoring and billing requirements to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Keep the Chief Operating Officer informed on the development of potential programmatic interest or potential impact on CCDVC programs and services.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, recommend and perform changes when necessary.
- Assist in planning and fundraising, including the developing of proposals and preparation of programmatic and statistical reports as required by funding sources.
- Directly supervise program staff. Direct and assist staff to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in the operation of programs.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of volunteer services. Provide clinical and administrative oversight to all program staff, and sound recommendations to staff.
- Facilitates, attend, participates, coordinates, and monitors internal and external meetings as relevant to program needs.
- Develop and maintain positive network of community service providers, to strengthen the services provided to families. Represent CCDVC at city and statewide coalitions, taskforces, and committees to ensure the continuation of solid collaboration approaches.
- Research, update, maintain and apply a new and current knowledge of standards, policies, rules and regulations. Provide staff with updated information as required and needed. Assist with the preparation of grant proposals to acquire funding to support the program
- Respond to program emergencies outside of regular hours of operation
- Be available to the COO for recruiting, screening, hiring, training, evaluating and when necessary, separation of personnel.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY:
This position has managerial responsibility, including conducting and /or participation in performance appraisals, reviews; assisting in the recruitment, hiring and training of case managers, counselor’s staff and the ability to recommendation for frontline staff level employees.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Registered Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist Preferred with a minimum of three (3) years of administrative management and clinical supervisory experience with children and families. Knowledge of domestic violence and/ or sexual assault and trauma. Individuals with a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field with 5 years clinical and supervisory experience may be considered.
