The Role

Are you a leader who blends deep technology & business expertise with a passion for mentoring and advancing associates?

We are looking for a Chapter Leader for our developers along with someone who can be a hands on lead tech delivering next generation technology solutions. You will collaborate with other leaders to partner with the business teams on key innovation initiatives, establish the standards for the chapter, influence the strategic decisions, deliver solutions, and directly manage a team of chapter members who work within autonomous squads. You are dedicated to helping them grow and develop their knowledge and ensure alignment on the “how” of the work they perform. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
  • Experience in software development and deep understanding of the software life cycle stages
  • Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams
  • Identifying and acquiring talent needs; and resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations
  • Proven expertise and passion for delivering complex technology solutions and achieving results
  • Passionate about engineering excellence, innovation, and empowerment
  • Aptitude and eagerness to learn new domain
  • Financial services experience, preferred
  • Prior experience in Mainframe/MVS platforms, Angular, AWS, preferred; brokerage platform experience is preferred
  • UX tool experience with Figma, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Suite - which contain several applications we utilize, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator After Effects etc. a plus
  • Understanding of brokerage business is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with Fidelity account management data applications preferred

The Team

This dynamic team is a part of Fidelity’s Brokerage Technology business unit. The Chapter Leader will work in partnership with Squad Leaders and other Chapter Leaders to build and support critical processing applications supporting products on the Brokerage Platform. We are laser focused on modernizing and bringing innovative solutions to our business partners as we migrate our core recordkeeping platform to a public cloud-based environment. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and Agile leadership behaviors, you evolve and sustain our innovative, Agile culture as we execute on our mission.
