Major/Essential Functions

Employee will work as a clinical assistant team leader or team member working with a physician or other providers in patient care
Performance of other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor, chair, Administrator, or Faculty member
Employee will participate in clinic year round Performance Improvements, Joint Commission readiness and Patient Satisfaction surveys
Employee will prepare patients for exams and treatments. Assist physicians/nurses for various procedures and physical exams. Receive and respond to patient medical telephone calls. Fill out necessary referral forms for laboratory and other hospital services

Required Qualifications

High School diploma/GED Equivalent.
Must be a graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assisting Program.
Current Medical Assistant Certification required.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary setting; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Bilingual in English and Spanish
