Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility is a 140 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in the beautiful Catskill mountains. We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Central Supply Clerk to join our team of professionals. This is a part-time day shift position, with flexible schedule.

Central Supply Responsibilities:

• Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed, and submitted as required in procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc., and return to vendor, as required.
• Assist in developing methods for determining quantity of supplies and equipment.
• Make written and oral reports and recommendations to the purchasing agent concerning procurement procedures, as directed.
• Fill requisitions from departments for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Deliver emergency supplies and equipment, as directed.
• Ensure that supplies and equipment are properly maintained.
• Organize storage, issue, and delivery of supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor utilization of supplies to ensure under and/or over use is not occurring which would indicate gaps in the provision of resident care or waste of supplies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to set-up newly admitted or readmitted residents with the necessary equipment and supplies.
• Maintain supply and storage rooms in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.

Specific Requirements

• Working knowledge of medical terminology and experience in ordering and maintaining par levels. Some on the job training provided.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
