Cabin and Shower Building Cleaner

Apostle Islands Area Campground is seeking a dependable and hardworking Cabin and Shower Building Cleaner to join our team!

This is a part-time, seasonal position (30 hours per week). Successful candidates must be available for day shifts, and available occasional weekends. Must be available to work Mid May - Mid October.

You will bring your exceptional eye for detail, time management abilities and superior customer service skills to help us ensure:

- exceptional cleanliness by cleaning all camp cabins and common areas

- exceptional guest stays through professionalism and excellent guest service abilities

- a friendly and team-oriented workplace that is welcoming for guests and team members alike

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Greet any and all guests with a “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon”
• Clean, dust, scrub, polish and service guest camp cabins daily in accordance with campground procedures. Including: sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of camp cabins
• Sanitize all surfaces in camp cabins and common areas
• Clean bathrooms/showers
• Stock camp cabin supplies at the beginning of shift
• Rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories
• Manage time according to daily cabin guest turnover
• Report any damage, hazards, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas
• Return any items found in camp cabins, and return to lost and found area in camp office
• Empty garbage and recycling in each camp cabin
• Follow safety and cleaning protocols according to provided training
• Other housekeeping/cleaning duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned (help with camp site cleanup, help in camp store, concession building, etc.)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems in situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Must be able to speak English to communicate with guests. Must be able to recognize situations which may involve guests that require immediate supervisory attention. Must know and use reasonable care for the safety and security of the guests.
