Position Summary
Path labs is seeking a Business Manager of outreach to join the pathology department. The Outreach Business Manager will be responsible for the direct oversight of the Outreach Customer Service section. They will also provide support for all administrative/operational tasks within the Path Labs Outreach Department and collaborate with both internal/external staff and clients to ensure quality service for the department/clients. The business manager is expected to work independently and handle complex situations while ensuring the highest level of service and compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day oversight and supervision of Customer Service employees.- Assists with personnel functions such as interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, evaluating performance, and/or developing staff, work schedules, assignments
- Participate in resolving any problems which may develop due to scheduling or behavior issues.
- Participates or assists with initiatives to promote effective process design, development and implementation of other technologies
- Participates in improvement projects and on assigned committees
- Excellent customer service and public relations skills, and an ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Provides support to Director of Business Operations, Sales Team (Internal/External), other staff with complex inquiries/issues and/or other assistance as needed
- Provides support to Procurement team to answer any client related questions, communicate with both internal/external staff, clients and vendors to ensure all required testing materials are provided for lab testing.
- Responsible for all administrative tasks for the Path Labs Outreach department
- Compiles and assembles data; generates and/or prepares administrative reports.
- Develops and/or manages business correspondences, as directed.
- Assists in budget development and/or strategic fiscal planning preparations as needed
- Facilitates and/or advises on the business and/or fiscal operations of a unit(s)
- Maintains and manages records for business and/or fiscal operations
- Assists in the review, preparation, and/or management of contract
- Collaborates with and/or serves as a liaison to agencies, administrators, departments, stakeholders, and/or vendors relative to the business and/or fiscal operations of a unit(s)
- Assists with the development, implementation, and interpretation of operational policies and procedures relative to the business and/or fiscal operations of a unit(s)
- Ensures compliance with government, industry, or institutional regulatory guidelines relative to the business and/or fiscal operations of a unit(s)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
-
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, business administration, management, or a closely related field.
OR
- Three (3) years (36 months) of work experience in accounting, business administration, fiscal management, or closely related experience.
OR
- A combination of such education and/or work experience totaling three (3) years (36 months), as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- 60 semester hours or an Associate’s Degree equals eighteen months (18 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
Previous Supervisory experience required
Oversight of high volume Call Center experience required.
Previous Healthcare/Lab experience preferred.
Experience with Reference Laboratory services
Experience with Civil Service Environment
