POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst/Process Modeler will provide direction to business units, delivery teams, and projects. Business Analysts are responsible for creating, sustaining, and improving processes within an organization They aim to create efficiencies, drive process quality enhancements, improve communication, and promote correct adherence to the process. They are a subject matter expert on the process and understand the stakeholders and tools involved to make the process successful. The Business Analyst/Process Modeler within the Engineered Design workstream will coordinate with GIS, BIM, CDE, Cognitive cities, and Digital Twin Implementation teams. They will coordinate the development of complex technical systems based on user requirements to support the maintenance of the teams’ platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create efficiencies, drive process quality enhancements, improve communication and promote correct adherence to the process. They are a subject matter expert on the process and understand the stakeholders and tools involved to make the process successful.
- Develops processes by collaborating with stakeholders involved including the process owner.
- Clearly communicates process change to all who are affected, including dependencies and downstream effects.
- Ensures all process information (including information on recent changes) are accessible and available to all when needed.
- Reviews current process in line with strategic goals, aiming to use technology to deliver efficiencies.
- Works with Data/Information Managers and Data Governance Managers and data leaders to understand where process improvements may increase the quality and use of data and transform processes accordingly.
- Create process models using industry-standard tools such as BPMN, UML, or similar.
- Developing User Stories and requirements.
- Travel up to once per month on average.
- Direction of Business Process data development, data translation, integration, and quality control activities.
- Directing the analysis of information to determine, recommend, and plan technical specifications and layouts.
- Directing the review of existing Information Technology (IT) programs and directing their team in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques using strategic planning.
- Participating in estimating of software development costs and schedules.
- Coordination with GIS, BIM, CDE, other Digital Systems leads, DP, and DDP stakeholders.
- Prior IT project team lead experience, technical project management, technical writing and documentation skills, training and mentoring Business Process project teams.
- Coordination and presentation experience to project stakeholders, clients, and partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in computer science, information systems or related work experience.
- Previous experience in an IT management position.
- Min. 10+ years of experience
- Logical and physical data modeling
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Knowledge of GIS, BIM related software’s such as AutoDesk Products (Revit), Bentley Products (Project Wise), and Digital Twin software.
- Design experience for API, streaming, or event-based solutions.
- Expertise in Modelling large Enterprise Efforts.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera, MS Project, or similar.
- Knowledge of construction project management methodologies such as Lean Construction, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), or similar.
