Job description

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Logistics Dispatcher will play a central role in ensuring operational success. This position requires strong communication skills, superb attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving problems. This person will aid in resolving operational exceptions and will communicate directly with the company’s customer, notifying them of variances that will impact their operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Communicate and resolve operational exceptions with contracted carriers and drivers
• Proactively seek operational issues and work to resolve them
• Keep the customers informed of any trip delays or failures
• Utilize Remote-Assist software to provide driver coaching, real-time driver issue resolution and driver support
• Ensure driver logs into tracking software and provides load updates
• Document and escalate hardware and software TMS-related issues
• Follow and maintain the culture and vision of the company

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and a very high attention to detail
• Great interpersonal, telephone, written, and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks and structure workload to increase productivity
• Experience with Macropoint, TMW or other TMS software preferred, but not required
• Ability to communicate with drivers and managers alike
• Bi-Lingual a plus but not required (Spanish)

• Evening and weekend shifts
