Looking for highly motivated morning servers.

Must be available for all home UGA football weekends.

ServSafe certification is preferred.

At least 2 years serving experience.

Must be able to handle large volume as well as take advantage of down time.

Position Summary: Takes orders and serves food and beverage to restaurant guests while ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wears uniform and name tag while on duty.

• Greets all guests promptly and courteously.

• Performs pre and post shift side work, stocks service station, makes coffee, etc.

• Promotes proper sanitation and safety for guests and employees at all times.

• Observes proper food handling techniques as required by the hotel and health department.

• Promotes positive guest and employee relations.

• Familiar with all menu items and product flavor, descriptions, methods of preparations, and prices.

• Works within policy to accommodate guest’s special food requests.

• Performs pre and post shift side work in room service work station, presets trays and prepares flatware “roll-ups”.

• Familiar with all menu items and product flavor, descriptions, methods of preparations, and prices.

• Takes room service order and utilizes suggestive selling techniques to upsell specials and menu items to maximize food and beverage revenue.

• Delivers and serves food and beverages to hotel guest’s room; sets up and serves the order in the guest’s room according to food and beverage specifications.

• Receives payment from the guest and makes the correct change when order is delivered.

• Picks up trays before the end of every shift that are left by guests in hallways on each floor and returns them to the kitchen.

• Up sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues.

• Legibly documents the guest’s order information on guest checks.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Trains new employees.

• Acts in accordance with Hotel Indigo Core Values and Mission Statement.
