What we are looking for:
We are seeking a Branch Manager who will: teach and implement a culture focused on sales and service; develop and implement strategic deposit and loan sales plans; foster member growth and retention relationships; acquire new members and sustain overall branch profitability; manage the day-to-day operations of the branch including staffing, budgets, branch and ATM reconciliation, branch audits and cash flow management; produce daily, weekly and monthly reports pertaining to sales and operations; complete, maintain and coordinate member profile documentation in order to ensure optimum engagement; develop and maintain meaningful member relationships with all members focusing on making First Atlantic the Primary Financial Institution; solicit new members via telemarketing and outside canvassing of local businesses; direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and manage successful sales and service programs; monitor and report on competitive intelligence including pricing and special offerings via newspapers, internet and by performing competitive shops.
Job Summary
The Branch Manager will provide leadership to the bank through efficient daily operations in all areas of banking service. Facilitates customer awareness and education of bank capabilities, tools, and resources. A key component of this service is to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution. Go out to meet business needs in the community and bring in new business.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and supervises customer service representatives, head teller, tellers, safety deposit clerk, and financial service managers in daily tasks and operations.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assists manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
- Oversees banking services, especially customer service, to ensure excellence; contacts or assists customers and prospective customers.
- Reviews and manages staffing procedures, ensuring that staff assignments and responsibilities are reasonable, and that salary structure is equitable.
- Coordinates communication with branch staff.
- Works to meet branch performance standards including operating loss control, bank secrecy, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversees and assists with the preparation of all branch reports for approval by manager.
- Attends and participates in periodic staff meetings.
- Manages branch operations when manager is absent.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent math and accounting skills.
- Excellent personal and professional leadership skills.
- Understanding of banking regulatory matters and procedures for proper operation.
- Ability to perform various banking procedures and operations.
- Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software programs.
- Bilingual in Spanish
Education
High school graduate or GED or two - three years' experience
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent banking industry experience.
