Job Description: BOOKKEEPER

Job Purpose:
Estelline Community Oil Company is a leading supplier of Agronomy, Energy, Hardware and Automotive Parts and Service in our area. We are looking for a qualified individual for a BOOKKEEPER position based out of our Estelline, SD office.

This is a full time position that requires a focus on accounting and bookkeeping while also working and providing assistance across multiple departments as the business requires. General duties will include; AR/AP processing, fertilizer/chemical data processing support, seed/feed data processing support, financial reporting, tax/insurance/license processing, phone support, etc. To be successful with this opportunity a person must; have excellent communication, organization and time management skills, exhibit a high level of personal and professional integrity, be able to work with limited direct supervision, pay close attention to detail, be very personable, have an excellent driving record and be committed to safety and customer service.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner, always be aware of your surroundings.
- Provide primary office phone and computer support, equipment check-in/check-out, maintenance and work ticket management as needed.
- Prepare/process Bills of Lading (BOL), invoices, statements, financial reports and other documents required to support customer accounts and internal administrative requirements.
- Ensure all documentation is completed, organized and processed in a timely manner
- Perform back-up store attendant responsibilities on occasion including; accepting payments and issuing receipts, receiving, unloading/loading, handling, organization and inventory control of our wide variety of products, stock shelves/coolers, track inventory and perform general cleaning duties to ensure store is well-kept.
- Multi task, support unique work requirements such as farm deliveries or sponsorship activities.
- Accept full responsibility for scheduled shift and manage store and related activities on your own when needed
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.
- Provide assistance and support to Controller and General Manager and provide other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Business hours at each of our stations are 7:30am to 5:30pm M-F and 7:30am to Noon on Saturdays
- Employee Standard hours for the administrative offices are 8-5, M-F
- Willingness to work flexible hours is required during peak times (6-7 days, 10-14hrs, depending upon weather and other factors hours may be during day or night.)
- Overtime is paid outside of normal working hours and is mandatory at times during peak periods
- Valid SD driver’s license and ability to pass DOT drug test required at all times (CDL preferred but not required)
- High School Diploma + Secondary Degree in Accounting, Business Admin/Mgmt, Finance or Ag Business is Required.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to customers and coworkers (Spanish as 2nd language preferred)
- Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment such as, but not limited to, cash register, time and record keeping computer systems
- Must be willing to drive a forklift (training can be provided)
- Ability to lift 40-60#’s

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
