Provide A Ride was founded in 1989 with a keen understanding of a growing need for specialized transportation services that would meet the ever-changing demographic profile of today's marketplace. As such, Provide A Ride continues to evolve and is addressing another growing need. This division will be responsible for providing specialized youth secure transportation services for juveniles with behavioral health needs across Ohio.

Our agents will operate company-owned vans that are specifically designed and equipped to safely transport our passengers to medical appointments, treatment facilities, and other needed destinations. Some facilities may be out of state and could require an overnight stay with fully compensated lodging and meals.

PAY:
This positions ranges from $21.50-23.00/hour*. This is a Part-Time position with the potential to become Full-Time.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner; create a pleasant environment for the passengers during their ride.
• Assist customers into the van, ensuring that customers wear their seat belts and children/infants are seated and belted properly in the car seat.
• Situational awareness
• De-escalation skills while presenting ourselves in a non-threatening caring manner
• Actively seeking out positive calming/coping strategies.
• While performing duties, Behavioral Health Transporter will encounter combative clients that may react physically aggressive toward them.
• Clients may engage in self-harm, meaning the Behavioral Health Transporter may need to use physical restraints to protect clients from harming themselves or others.
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prefer candidates who have held valid license for at least five years. (No CDL required).
• Minimum 23 years old
• Pre-employment Drug Screen and will be subject to random drug screens
• Physical Exam
• Criminal Background Check
• Must be able to work around service animals
• Must have flexible availability

• Social Worker/Case Manager
• Juvenile professional
• Mental health facility employment
• Behavioral Health Caregiver
• EMT/ Paramedic

PREFERRED TRAINING:

• CPI Training
