Job Summary
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and technically savvy Digital Marketing Manager to lead our digital marketing efforts and drive growth for the Compass Group brands. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital marketing channels and be able to create and execute data-driven strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and boost revenue. This high-impact role will work across sector marketing, sales, creative, IT and operations functions and interact with team members, partners, vendors, and senior leaders. Ultimately, this person should be able to drive brand engagement, qualified lead generation and conversions for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies, including content marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, account-based marketing, SEO and SEM.
- Lead the implementation of a new marketing automation platform, including setup, integration, and optimization.
- Develop and execute marketing automation strategies, including lead nurturing, lead scoring, and customer segmentation, to improve lead generation and conversion rates.
- Manage and grow the company's email marketing program, including list segmentation, automation, template design, content development and performance analysis.
- Perform periodic digital assessments across all Compass and sector channels, provide actionable insights and support execution for optimization.
- Collaborate with sector marketing leads on optimizing website content and landing pages for search engine optimization, user experience and conversion rate optimization (form fills).
- Train and support internal teams in the use of marketing automation tools and best practices
- Work with sector marketing, content and creative teams to develop persona-based full funnel content and promotional assets to different target audiences by understanding potential customer’s pain points, preferred content formats, stage in the buyer’s journey, etc.
- Spearhead highly targeted programs to reach, engage and nurture anonymous and targeted personas from stranger -> visitor -> lead -> opportunity -> customer.
- Reporting directly to the Strategic Marketing Lead and collaborating closely with the creative leads and sector marketing team, this role will own digital strategy, development, execution, and reporting for all inbound marketing tactics.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns on platforms like LinkedIn and other social media channels, Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
- Measure, analyze and report on results, with an eye for optimization and performance improvements.
- Stay current on digital marketing trends and best practices and provide recommendations for new opportunities and tactics.
Key Skills and Capabilities Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Creative Writing is preferred.
- 3-5 years B2B demand generation experience, including marketing automation and account-based marketing experience; some agency experience preferred.
- Experience in Hospitality or Contract Food Management preferred. Service industry experience a must.
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, display advertising, including Google AdWords.
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels, A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Excellent messaging and writing-for-digital skills (i.e., blog, email, ad copy, landing pages, etc.) - knows how to find the sweet spot between our target accounts' critical business issues and the solutions we provide.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- First-hand experience developing and executing comprehensive multi-channel marketing plans and campaigns that perform.
- Works within existing processes and always thinks about scaling when it comes to multi-channel campaigns; if a process doesn't exist, you can't help but design one. Works smarter, not harder.
- Master collaborator and relationship builder. Sales and Sector Marketing will be your partner in success.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely detail-oriented - thorough QA of all deliverables will be required.
- Project manages and hits deadlines - you always deliver.
- Experience using Marketing Automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Microsoft are preferred) and ABM platforms (Terminus, 6sense, Demandbase are preferred)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and sales engagement tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of AI and WordPress is a plus.
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
