Job Description


What will you be working on with Syntegon?

Your primary focus with be the SME supporting and improving machine controls. You will also perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, modification of packaging machines. You will also have the opportunity to create the initial parameter setup of Automatic Injector Assembly Machines. Additional contributions on our team include assisting Parts and Sales with technical issue/questions from the customer.

Now that we’ve gone over primary responsibilities, let’s get into what the day to day essential functions look like:

Cross functionally, you will collaborate with Customer teams and Software design teams to optimize equipment logic and performance capability.

You will train and mentor Operators at the customer site on proper use of the RSA machines.

Closely communication with customer contacts to ensure proper function of machines.

Performing the latest Software updates and modifications to machine control software at customer sites.

Tracking ECR status and add new ECR’s and communicate with the customer on changes/revisions

Responding to some technical questions within Parts and source local parts and vendors while providing information to Parts.

Clarifying customer parts requests and create official parts requests if needed

Working with customer to address emergency parts request and follow-up once issue is resolved

You will have the opportunity to travel around the country to work with our customers in person (up to 75% overnight travel) across North America. You might even have a chance to travel to some international sites so you will need a valid Driver’s License / Passport or ability to acquire a Passport.

Qualifications


We require the following:

We are really looking for someone with at least 5+ years of experience working with electronic controls systems, software, hardware, I/O´s and safety devices.

We really need a Controls engineer that has 5+ years of experience programming Siemens/Allen Bradley PLC and Motion Control software

The education you need is at least a High School Diploma or GED but would be great if you had additional education or training.

It would be a bonus if you also had these extra skills:

BS in Electrical, Automation or Industrial Engineering is preferred

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in performing necessary changes to Ladder logic, as well as other machine control software and hardware.

Experience with Cognex, SICK vision systems is preferred
