Shift Work: All applicants must be available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Duties Summary

This is the working supervisory level which supervises and participates in performing the full range of technical work in the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and electromechanical automated systems and associated equipment.


Minimum Qualification Requirements

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Specialized Experience:

  • THREE (3) and ONE-HALF (1/2) years of work experience in testing, maintaining and repairing a variety of electronic and electromechanical equipment.
  • At least ONE (1) YEAR of the Specialized Experience required must be at the fully proficient, independent diagnostic and repair worker level.
Substitution Allowed: Technical training in electronics at an accredited institute or community college above the high school level may be substituted for the Specialized Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester credit hours for six (6) months of experience, up to a maximum of two years.

Driver's License: You must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Federal Criminal History Records Check: In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the airport must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the SIDA clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found "not guilty by reason of insanity," of a disqualifying criminal offense within 10 years from the date of the application. Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding ten years.
The cost for the records check will be the applicant's responsibility.
