The Care Communications Digital Health Solutions is a product portfolio comprised of communications applications and solutions including mobile clinical communication solutions, medical device integration, alarm and alert management, waveform visualization and solutions for natural language processing. Together these solutions are focused on a vision of unifying the software platform to drive workflow efficiency, improve patient outcomes and strengthen patient engagement. Our portfolio is regularly expanding to include innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes.
As the Associate Director, Quoting and Solution Architecture you will direct a team responsible for supporting the Sales organization in the areas of quoting technical, functional and clinical capabilities of Baxter’s Connected Solutions product portfolio. Partnering with key team members across the organization, the successful candidate will ensure timely delivery of architectural drawings, quotes, change order requests and Statements of Work. This position plays a key role in the pre-Sales quoting process. In addition, you will travel to customer locations for facility reviews and evaluation of project sites.
What you'll be doing
Direct a team responsible for providing subject matter expertise (SME) support to the Sales organization, with responsibilities including scoping and quoting the technical, functional and clinical capabilities of Baxter’s Care Communications product portfolio:
Navicare - Nurse Call System
Voalte - Clinical Communication and Collaboration
Excel Medical – Clinical Alert Integration
CenTrak – Real Time Location System (RTLS)
GSS/LIKO
Create Standard Operating Procedures
Review/Create process maps for each product and using Lean methodology, review current workflows with an eye on creating efficiencies, improving quality and timeliness
Evaluate customer scoping information based on customer requirements, sales input, floor plans, and technical assessments
Facilitate provision of project/order documentation to Order Management and Service Delivery Teams
Using software tools, create accurate project drawings subsequently used for quoting as well as downstream implementation activities.
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience; preferably in the healthcare field
Must be able to travel in the field up to 50% of the time and stay away overnight
Knowledge of healthcare environments - clinical workflows
Familiarity with regulations such as HIPAA, OSHPD, ADA
Experience designing and/or quoting technology platforms, ideally in healthcare IT
Ability to understand/compose technology architecture designs, installation specifications, and work with hospital floor plan blueprints to generate accurate system designs
Ability to compose flow charts, and process diagrams
5+ years in a technical role - healthcare sales engineer and/or project management role and at least 5 years managing people, teams and complex projects
IT experience/training to be equipped to meet and advise customer IT, including topics pertaining to data centers, servers, networking, information security, mobile technologies
Familiarity with clinical technology systems, such as EMRs, nurse call systems, clinical communication and collaboration systems, and physiological monitors
New technology installation experience to properly scope projects during site walks.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with partners
Understanding of big picture strategy, while maintaining attention to detail
Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and a strong aptitude for adopting new technology
Excellent at managing multiple priorities and responding to emails quickly
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines, manage workload accordingly
Possess excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $128,000 to $252,000 plus an annual incentive bonus, and equity target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
