Finstro provides Trade and Payment solutions in the B2B space between Suppliers and Buyers. We’ve approved over $1 billion in Trade Payments for thousands of SMBs. As an established leader in Australia and new entrant to the U.S., we’re looking to grow our Front-end Web engineering leadership. The right candidate will love writing beautiful and responsive web front-ends that our end-users find a joy to use.

The majority of our web development teams are located in the Philippines and Vietnam. This position is open to working the following locations:

• In-office in Sydney, Australia with occasional travel to Manila
• Full-remote Australia with occasional travel to Manila
• In-office in Manila with relocation and work visa sponsorship for expats

Role / Responsibilities

• Lead our Web Front-end Software Engineering teams that are located across Philippines and Vietnam
• Spend 50% or more of your time writing the core infrastructure code for our web front-ends in AngularJS
• Work closely with the UX design team in designing and creating UI’s that work well across multiple web platforms for U.S., Australian and European markets

Requirements

• 10+ years experience developing web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript (or TypeScript) for multiple devices
• 5+ years experience using AngularJS, React or Vue
• Easily able to translate designs and wireframes into high quality code and validate the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
• Expert at optimizing the bundling size, initial paint time, error handling, and performance tweaking
• Has built Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and used IndexedDB, Service Workers
• Expert using Web App build tool chains (WebPack, etc.)
• Expert and multiple deployment technologies for Web applications, usage of CDN’s, and Cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud)
• Able to comfortably write SQL and use Linux
• Participate in projects than span multiple teams from requirements to production in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced with Feature Flag development and/or A/B Testing
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
