About KTVF:

KTVF/KXDF/KFXF are the NBC, CBS and MeTV/MyNetwork affiliated stations serving the interior of Alaska with award winning local news, great entertainment and public service to the Fairbanks community. Job Summary/Description:

KTVF/KXDF is seeking an experienced on-air host/anchor. This position requires delivering daily news stories for digital and broadcast with accuracy, integrity and quality.

Attend/host/speak at community service, schools, and community events; meet and greet viewers, serve as an anchor on newscasts and digital platforms. Evenings, weekends and holidays may be required. Delivers the news and introduces content from local reporters. Has an understanding of local, state, and national issues. Ability to work well under pressure while preparing for and delivering a live news broadcast. The position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Be able to write in a clear, concise, conversational manner, as required. Must possess excellent interview and conversational writing skills. Must have strong on-camera presentation skills. Must have basic computer knowledge including newsroom software (such as ENPS), Microsoft applications and internet use. Must have intermediate knowledge of social media and be able to work independently with limited supervision. Must work well in a team environment, under pressure and have the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong initiative and attention to detail is required.

• You must demonstrate solid news judgment and journalistic ethics (SPJ Code of Ethics) You are required to maintain professional and ethical conduct at the station and in the community. You should have the ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving in a manner that will work well with co-workers, supervisors and viewers/online news consumers. You should demonstrate strong research skills, including the ability to navigate on-line search engines and stay current with local news.
