Job Summary
Analyzing financial records to prepare tax returns, conducting audits, and creating budget reports. Comply with local laws, federal, and state regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- **In -Person Position**
- Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments).
- Will handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
- Ensuring bank payments are submitted in a timely fashion.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
- Preparing and calculating tax returns.
- Researching and resolving complex accounting issues.
- Managing profit/loss statements and balance sheets
- Auditing documents and financial transactions
- Preparing budget forecasts.
- Collaborating with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.
Education/Experience Requirements
- 3 + years experience as an Accountant/ relevant experience
- QuickBooks experience (required)
- Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Detail-oriented, and accurate.
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field is preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professionals (CPP) is a plus.
- Additional certification (CMA) is a plus
