JOB TITLE: Acquisition Specialist
CLIENT: US Army - PMSL
LOCATION: Picatinny Arsenal
CLEARANCE: Must be a US Citizen with ability to be cleared. Active Secret clearance is preferred
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Inalab is in search of a highly qualified Supply Acquisition Specialist to support our US Army program developing next-generation weapons technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least five (5) years of DoD / Government Acquisitions experience
- Knowledge in project management and acquisition life cycle management to include development, acquisition, testing, product improvements, fielding, integration, and interoperability.
- Knowledge of administrative program support functions (e.g., budget, procurement), program operations (e.g., logistics, supply) and related policies.
- Knowledge of management processes to advise, plan, coordinate, and execute mission-oriented projects and studies.
- Experience preparing program statutory and regulatory documentation in support of major milestone reviews as well as cost estimates, work breakdown structures, program schedules, acquisition strategies, and contract strategies. Examples of major milestones include MDD, MS-A, MS-B, MS-C, Type Classification, and Materiel Release.
- Experience supporting the various Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes and aligning funding across the program life cycle.
- Thorough knowledge of management planning and programming processes to prepare long and short-range planning guidance in accordance w/ agency policies and objectives.
- Experience translating Army acquisition policy changes into PM policy and guidance.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as subject matter expert on the Adaptive Acquisition Framework.
- Advises project officers on executing weapon system acquisition policies.
- Assists project officers and PM staff with planning programs strategies.
- Assists project officers and PM staff with acquisition documentation.
- Assists project officers and PM staff with program milestone reviews.
- Supports PM staff directors with strategic planning activities.
- Performs other tasks as required to support PM-SL.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent will be exposed to normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on a computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face. This position requires the incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually light.
