Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for guaranteeing the safety of the public during any special event taking place The Villages Polo Club. The Traffic Control Associate also assists in event setup and breakdown of the designated parking area while providing a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and upholding a safe, hospitable environment. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Part-Time, Seasonal Position
Salary commensurate with experience: Starting at $11.00 an hour

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain crowd control during events to ensure the safety of event attendees and staff.
• Assist in set-up and breakdown of special events within the designated areas.
• Create a welcoming and friendly environment to all guests entering the facility and assist in providing The Villages Polo Club event information.
• Ensure the safety of the public, assist emergency personnel in emergency situations with traffic and crowd control.
• Total bill, accept payment, and make change for The Villages Polo Club hosted events.
• Identify and report hazards to the proper channel.
• Must be flexible with hours, be self-motivated, and be willing to work outdoors.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as business needs require.
• Must be able to stand for 4+ hours depending on event needs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. at a time.
• Must complete crowd control management training within 60 days.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prompt and regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
