Aspirus is currently seeking a SURGICAL SERVICES COORDINATOR in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to work at Aspirus Riverview Hospital. The Surgical Services Coordinator performs a wide variety of reception, communication, clerical and service/support functions, including maintaining patient records and scheduling and assisting with patient care functions. A key responsibility of this position is to facilitate communications between patients, care givers, and ancillary departments of the hospital.

Hours: This position is Full Time; 0.8 FTE or 64 hours per pay period.

Experience/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Two years of experience in a physician’s office or acute care hospital working in a position substantially similar to this one is preferred.
• Has sufficient familiarity with medical terminology to have a working knowledge.
• Possesses basic keyboarding skills sufficient for efficient data entry and navigation of Meditech system.
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative to complete work efficiently and in a timely fashion. Able to make appropriate independent decisions within limits of his/her authority.
• Able to work with all members of the Surgical Services staff to share and coordinate workload.
