Job Description


Zenith is looking for a talented Multicultural Supervisor, Strategy to manage the day-to-day Media Planning and Strategy functions for a well-known client brand.


This person will support the development of Multicultural Strategies for targeted audiences (Hispanic, African American, LGBTQ+ and Asian) to drive change and help deliver more meaningful, culture-driven marketing and media strategies. They will also support their execution and stewardship across the business.


This person will be a part of a large team of omni channel strategic thinkers promoting culture-first thinking, knowledge, and skills to push fresh ideas to address client, agency, and team needs with the assistance of the senior staff on the business. This position will collaborate several junior staff members day to day and reports directly to the Multicultural Director/VP Multicultural Strategy.


Role Objectives:

Media Strategy and Cultural Insight

  • Responsible for contributing to the development of multicultural strategy across multiple campaigns with a culture-first mindset and using culture-first data that delivers on business results

  • Evaluates capabilities and composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach multiple target audience and evaluate the impact of said media across multiple audiences

  • Evaluates and assesses media performance to determine the extent to which the original media objectives and strategies were accomplished

  • Research, interpret and evaluate available cultural marketing and research data to develop insight driven media objectives and strategies

  • Responsible for managing multicultural projects and resources

Collaborate, Inspire and Influence

  • Effectively communicate and present to top management and clients

  • Partner with multiple strategy teams to closely supervise the implementation and execution of multicultural media plans

  • Cultural Ideation, establishing multicultural budgets within overall brand segments budgeting, and establishing benchmarks for control

  • Accountable for accuracy and media intelligence

  • Key point of coordination and communication across inter-agency teams, internal teams, and partnerships

  • Detailed management of the multicultural budgets and billing across the portfolio

  • Managing the process and procedure for client set up, billing and all administrative functions

  • Act as a Resource for others to resolve questions/problems related to multicultural media planning

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time

  • They love creating the ‘never been done” but aren’t discouraged when recommendations are not approved

  • They are a self-starter and not easily intimidated. They will be part of a very friendly and collaborative specialty unit within Zenith and are encouraged to not hold it back if they disagree or have an idea to deliver success for our clients.

  • Act as a “culture-first” resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issues


Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in media planning/strategy

  • Concentration in culture-first media strategy across Hispanic, African American, LGBTQ+, Asian is highly preferred but not required

  • Agency experience highly preferred

  • 3+ year’s media planning experience

  • Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI

  • Strong knowledge of all cross-channel media, with a drive for curiosity and passion for the client’s business

  • Demonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently

  • Solid written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation

  • Minimal supervision, relies on experience/judgment

  • Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions

  • Understand the capabilities of each media channel to maximize the impact and components within each campaign

  • Able to make independent decisions and identify priorities

  • Meet client and internal deadlines and obligations

  • Manage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants

  • Orient, train, assign and review the work of subordinates

  • Be able to identify and promote solutions

  • Be a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issues

Compensation Range: $73,500 - $115,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
