SUMMARY

Responsible for adhering to all safety and sanitation standards pertaining to the chemicals used to clean various food and beverage venues as well as all pertinent equipment. Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchens(s) in the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

• Assigns duties and tasks for culinary utility I and II dishwashers on your shift.
• Maintains the sanitation of the kitchen(s).
• Responsible for deep cleaning of facility and specific equipment and tools for the operations.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Ensures employees are fully trained.
• Inspects kitchens for health code violations.
• Checks and documents all dishwasher temperatures and sanitizer levels.
• Orders supplies as needed.
• Assists in dish room when shorthanded.
• Works with other supervisors to make sure things are communicated and everything runs smoothly.
• Cleans dishwasher after each use.
• Deep cleans the whole kitchen.
• Monitors chemicals and changes when needed.
• Duties may differ by work location.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
  

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Lead and/or guide the work of other employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to maintain a positive professional working relationship with management and co-workers
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work requires constant standing and lifting. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Frequent exposure to extreme cold, extreme heat, moisture, smoke, and toxic/caustic chemicals.
