Staff Accountant for our client in the Clearwater area!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Highly proficient in GAAP
- Maintains General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization.
- Ensures that all cash accounts are reviewed, and all cash management entries are recorded and posted on a daily basis
- Performs duties related to the recording and reconciliation of revenues and expenses.
- Prepares and records monthly journal entries and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assists Senior Staff Accountants in all duties related to the recording and reconciliation of capital.
- Assists in the preparation and review of the annual budgets.
- Performs monthly budget/forecast to actual variance analysis and assists in providing explanations and follow-up for budget variances.
- Prepares month-end financial statements and other ad-hoc reports as assigned.
- Reviews accounts payable vouchers and other items as needed to support strong internal accounting controls.
- Prepares various month-end reports and provides support for the annual audit as assigned equipment items.
- Performs duties related to the recording and reconciliation of revenues and expenses.
- Prepares month-end financial statements.
- Records monthly journal entries and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, skill and /or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with Accounting concentration, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong PC skills highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit or healthcare field is preferred.
- Previous experience working on Sage 500.
