  • Lead laboratory military veteran and JROTC internship and apprenticeship programs. Support lab-wide veteran recruitment efforts by participating in information sessions, recruitment visits and individual conversations with prospective applicants and partners.
  • Champion workforce accessibility initiatives and workplace accessibility standards. Serve as an SME (subject matter authority) providing accessibility mentorship/strategies related, but not limited, to physical, hearing, vision, speech, and cognitive accommodation.

  • Assist with annual Affirmative Action plans, EEO1, VETS100, Laboratory Strategic Plan for Diversity & Inclusion, and other requests from the OFCCP, DOL and DOE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
We are looking for:

  • Experience with and ability to develop strong relationships with a wide variety of constituents, including business, philanthropic, cultural, social and community service organizations, and academic institutions
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to address multiple collaborators’ needs and expectations
  • Attentiveness to and understanding of military culture and the common academic, social, financial, and logistical concerns of veterans and their families. Able to use technology and social media to increase efficiency and effectiveness in collaboration, communication, and engagement across multiple audiences
  • Highly organized, capable of multitasking, effective and responsive communicator with diverse populations
