Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Systems Engineer located at the Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. This position provides senior-level systems engineering support to the Air Force Nuclear Warfare Center’s Strategic Nuclear Communications Division’s Presidential and National Voice Conferencing (PNVC) program.

TRAVEL: Occasional CONUS travel may be required

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Knowledge of Air Force tactical data waveforms, networks and radio systems
• Broad theoretical and practical knowledge of systems engineering as it applies to the acquisition process

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and conduct systems engineering, engineering analysis, trade studies and feasibility assessments in support of systems engineering activities
• Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, and design and test results to assure that required subsystem and system performance is achieved
• Participate in system design and architecture development of tactical datalink communications systems
• Prepare technical documents which define, specify and recommend system/subsystem characteristics
• Review and provide technical comments on tactical datalink specifications and interface documents
• Conduct technical investigations in systems design
• Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF SEAM processes
• Support Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and Test Meetings
• Perform engineering drawing reviews for conformance with requirements, specifications, regulations and quality control
• Provide system engineering solutions based on systems analyses, advanced technology processing techniques, engineering research, and evaluation of all aspects of system engineering
• Develop technical reports, make recommendations to Project/Program leadership
