Student Affairs provides student support, services, and educational programs to facilitate the growth and development of UMKC students, including educational, personal, social, physical, cultural, leadership and intellectual. We also handle student conduct and responsibilities. Job Description


The Sr. Program/Project Support Coordinator will support functions for the Division of Student Affairs to ensure the goals and objectives of the unit are specified and accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations and other specifications.

  • Develops and implements programs/projects of Student Affairs, providing guidance and oversight as necessary.
  • Manage day-to-day communication for the Division of Student Affairs; point of contact among staff, faculty, and students.
  • Develop and monitor project management processes including the use of tools (e.g., software or applications) to manage large, complex, and multiuser projects.
  • Support the development of reports by collecting information from various sources, organizing data, and formatting documents for final submission.
  • Provide support to the Division of Student Affairs which may include but is not limited to data entry, filing, answering multiple phone lines and other activities as needed.
  • Administration of the Canvas graduation course which requires monitoring student inquiries, providing timely responses, and directing them to the appropriate administrative resources. Includes reviewing student responses to ensure accuracy and provide feedback to students with incorrect submissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • The ability to interact with faculty, staff, and students.
  • The ability to multi-task, work collaboratively, and work on confidential initiatives.
  • The ability to update website(s) and or be willing to gain the necessary training.

Salary


$50,367 - $58,500 per year commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
