As a furniture wholesaler and retailer, we rely on the efficiency and effectiveness of our distribution center. Currently, we’re seeking a Shipping & Receiving Manager to join our team and manage warehouse and delivery operations at our distribution center in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. This professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing and delivery activities, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. The ability to achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, plan delivery routes, manage delivery personnel and track shipping times, is key to being successful in this position.
Objectives of this Role:
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing warehouse operation goals
- Train and manage a warehouse and delivery team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Oversee daily warehouse productivity and operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations and reporting, through chain of command, any related safety deficiencies.
- Manage personnel to meet daily objectives, assume accountability for deficiencies in productivity and take remedial or punitive action when necessary.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Supervise and work alongside warehouse/delivery team throughout daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Schedule and oversee team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Perform monthly and yearly safety training refresher courses and provide copies of course curriculum and training aids to the COO and Director of Human Resources.
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee proper operational and general maintenance as needed and as directed by the COO.
- Meet regularly with cross-divisional team members to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
- Initiate and perform regularly scheduled inventory cycle counts to ensure and maintain accurate product inventory when directed by the COO.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed
- Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years experience in a warehouse management, delivery management or director role
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to work with all levels of company staff
- Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
- Computer proficiencies - proficient knowledge with excel, word, google drive, and the ability to learn an inventory management software program is a MUST
- Upstanding driving record
- CDL license is a plus

Salary: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
