Job Title: Field Service Technician

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing world-class customer service in order to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial food equipment and appliances (grills, ovens, fryers, etc), HVAC systems and refrigeration (reach-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, etc) for our valued customers. This is a non-supervisory position and reports to the Field Service Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes the following but other duties may be assigned.)

  • Coordinate with Field Manager to assure consistency in our service strategy and execution.
  • Properly troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs commercial food equipment and appliances, HVAC systems and refrigeration.
  • Provides elite customer service and professionally communicates the service needed to customers
  • Defines service problems, collects data, establishes facts, and enters accurate information into tablet, as well as communicates effectively with Dispatcher.
  • Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures
  • Maintains a neat and orderly truck, along with a good part and tool inventory.
  • Conduct yourself in accordance with the Company Code of Ethics Policy at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
  • Safety conscious.
  • A customer-focused attitude, with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Works well on a team.
  • Refrigeration technicians must be able to obtain EPA certification first three (3) months.
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision with accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze, retain and solve problems.
  • Proven ability to handle inventory needs.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to adapt with frequent change, delay, or unexpected events.
  • Establishes and maintains good partnerships with customers across different geographies and cultures.
  • Able to work afterhours, over weekends, and holidays when necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of education/experience in food service equipment repair or related area is a plus.
  • Background experience in gas, electricity, plumbing and/or steam repairs or a strong desire and willingness to learn/study quickly.
  • Strong experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience of on computer systems and tablets or a strong desire and willingness to learn/study quickly.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on experience
