Job description
Our client is looking for a Server Repair Technician. This will be M-F 8AM to 5PM with an unpaid lunch break for 40 hours per week. Travel will be required within the area, but mileage will be paid out to the technician.
Day to Day Work:
Break fix repair of industry-standard enterprise level servers and storage equipment.
Working with various teams in the data center environment to schedule service outages, repairs, and validations, and inventory control and the associated paperwork.
Interact in a professional manner with onsite customer personnel and the local Client team.
Requested Skills:
Background in server and/or storage hardware repairs, data center experience as plus
Excellent communication skills.
Positive Attitude and mechanical aptitude to assist in troubleshooting complex.
Specific Server and Storage training will be provided
Learn and retain proprietary processes.
Technician must also have experience with:

Technician must also have experience with:
- Installing, diagnosing, maintaining and servicing computer-related products, including but not limited to desktop & laptop computers, printers, network devices, standard software, ticketing systems and low-end servers at customer sites, and/or depot locations.
- Troubleshooting and repair, to more difficult device repair, including reloading and re-imaging of PCs/laptops, and installing and optimizing HW/SW networking products
- Provides support for software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops and servers
- Provides maintenance and support on legacy products
- Supports Core, server products
- Performs disk replacement on enterprise storage products
- Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers and peripherals
- Supports network products from operational and maintenance perspectives
- Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required
- Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications
- Provides follow-up on problems or escalation.
- Insures customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction.
