This is a seasonal position during the months of June and July with the potential for additional hours during any scheduled school breaks. The Seasonal Transportation Specialist provides transportation for members ages 8-17 to and from their designated pick up location and seasonal respite programing. Transportation occurs twice daily in the morning and afternoons on weekdays. In addition, this position may also provide support with other clerical and administrative duties as assigned and able when transportation is not scheduled or being conducted.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (with or without accommodation):

• Safely and reliably transport members to and from destination within time requirements.
• Maintain good professional relationship with members, their guardians, fellow EBF staff, and providing quality customer service to all persons.
• Keep information confidential and adhere to all program, operational, and personnel policies, procedures and protocols.
• Assure that car seats and/or seat belts are in proper working condition, cleaned and available, as necessary, to ensure that all members are securely fastened throughout the transport.
• Accompany all members to their destination, not leaving them unattended until the designated responsible party arrives.
• Properly record services delivered to each member while maintaining accurate activity reports which are to be submitted to the Transportation Supervisor at the end of each day.
• Complete mileage report on a daily basis and provide the report to the Transportation Supervisor at the end of each day.
• Immediately verbally report to the Ranch Respite Program Coordinator any unusual incidents which occurred during the transport, and follow-up with a written report if requested.

Education –

• High school of GED required.

Experience –

• Experience providing transportation for minors.
• Bus driving or behavioral health transportation support experience a plus.

Regulatory –

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Clean criminal background check and the ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
• Current valid, unrestricted driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that meets the standards of the agency.
