Job description
Position Summary: Infection control nurse/In service coordinator (RN)
PAY: $80,000 - $95,000 depending upon experience.
The "In service coordinator/Infection control nurse (RN)" is responsible for directing the facility's annual required trainings to impove the overall education level and quality care of the facility staff. Many of the trainings pertain to infection control due to the COVID pandemic.
The IC nurse must be a Registered Nurse. The IC nurse will be responsible with maintaining infection control practices throughout the facility and the antibiotic stewardship program.
Other duties includes: Swabbing staff for COVID, distribution of PPE, in servicing staff on proper donning and doffing of PPE, reporting stock of PPE to Dept of health. etc.
This position requires RN licensure.
Schedule: 8-4, 9-5, etc. Weekends: Team player attitude. Not regularly scheduled.
