General Summary: The Store Manager manages the St. Vincent dePaul Outreach Ministries Mission Store. As a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Outreach Ministries leadership team, the Store Manager participates in setting broad organizational goals, objectives and policies particularly in the area of Mission Store operations. The Store Manager assists the Executive Director on all strategic and operational matters as they relate to budget management, forecasting needs and increasing Mission Store revenue. This person will oversee financial management to budget. The Store Manager provides programmatic and financial budget variance information to the Executive Director for operational reporting. This is a 37.5 hour/week position.
Essential Duties and Tasks:

· Recruit, orient, supervise and retain qualified volunteers and employees.
· Ensure completion of daily cash report and bank deposit for store receipts.
· Supervise the Assistant Store Manager, Sort Room Team Leader and
Driver.
· Manage petty cash account. Track spending, reconcile and report activity to
Executive Director monthly.
· Approve timesheets for all non-traditional workers and SVDP employees under your supervision. Send information to interested agencies.
· Manage inventory levels of donated items.
· Ensure that merchandise is attractively displayed and that displays are full.
· Ensure that merchandise is of high quality.
· Ensure a safe environment for all who shop, work and volunteer here.
· Maintain needed supplies for store operation.
· Foster a positive atmosphere that emphasizes the dignity of everyone who enters the store, and those who may benefit from our donations of excess inventory.
· Other duties as assigned by Director.

· Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
· Specific vision abilities include close and distant vision.
· Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
· Work under pressure, effectively utilize time and resources, respond to deadlines, and use sound judgment when making decisions.
· Accurately examine and analyze information.
Machines, Tools and Equipment use and maintenance of:
Office Equipment: Computer, printer, scanner, cash registers and shredder
Warehouse Equipment: trucks, lift gates, furniture and appliance
dollies.
Working Conditions:
This work is performed in a retail store/office setting with moderate noise due to
computers, printers, forklifts and people moving about.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in retail management or a related field is desired or equivalent experience.
- Must possess a minimum of five years of retail operations management experience managing the day-to-day operations of an organization employing at least 50 staff/volunteer persons.
- Work with Administrative Assistant to manage the Mission Store social media presence.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
