The Blue Mountain Union School in Wells River Vermont is seeking a Restorative Student Support Specialist starting in the 2023-2024 school year. This is a grant funded position and therefore is contingent upon grant funding and grant approval. The Restorative Student Support Specialist position is designed to build the capacity of the school building in addressing student management/behavioral issues. The position is designed to assist students who are struggling with low level behavioral management issues/infractions.Under the direction of the Dean of Students and the building co-principals, the Restorative Student Support Specialist will assist students in the development and implementation of success/restorative plans, provide support to students who are struggling with low level behavioral issues/infractions, work with classroom teachers to support students in classrooms, and work as a liaison between the administration and the parents/family when needed.
